Senior IT Project Coordinator
Location: Qatar
Job Summary:
The incumbent is responsible for coordinating and monitoring IT projects to ensure they align with strategic plans, meet deadlines, and are executed with available resources. The role also involves prioritizing and rescheduling projects based on critical user needs and constraints.
Key Responsibilities
A. Shareholder & Financial

Monitor and compare project financial performance, identify revenue opportunities, and reduce costs.

Implement KPIs and best practices aligned with departmental goals.

Promote cost-consciousness and productivity to maximize ROI.
B. Customer (Internal & External)

Maintain relationships with project stakeholders and provide regular progress updates.

Liaise with internal teams and vendors to meet project and business objectives.

Ensure SLA compliance and provide data to auditors and compliance teams as required.
C. Internal Processes & Project Execution

Define project goals, measurement metrics, and ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables.

Manage multiple complex projects, follow PM methodologies, and handle triple constraints (scope, time, cost).

Coordinate procurement, vendor selection, and ensure regulatory and QNB standards are met.

Prepare all required documentation including initiation, closure, status reports, and risk registers.

Track CAPEX spending and maintain project documentation.

Lead project coordination activities, risk mitigation strategies, stakeholder communications, and quality reviews.
D. Learning & Knowledge

Stay updated on IT trends, system limitations, and process improvements.

Identify personal development areas and attend training sessions to enhance expertise.
E. Legal, Regulatory & Risk Compliance

Adhere to legal, regulatory, and internal policies (AML, sanctions, fraud, data protection).

Fulfill responsibilities under the Three Lines of Defence model.

Maintain mandatory training and ensure ongoing role competence.
F. General
-
Ensure confidentiality and data protection in line with internal policies.

Handle sensitive information responsibly and maintain QNB’s reputation.

Perform additional duties as required by management.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Minimum 8 years’ experience in IT project coordination, ideally within a top-tier international bank.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
-
Strong knowledge of systems, compliance, stakeholder communication, and regulatory requirements.
