Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced JAVA Technical Lead Developer to join our team. This role is ideal for professionals with 8 to 12 years of experience who are passionate about leading high-performance teams, building scalable applications, and driving innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, secure full-stack applications.

  • Architect solutions using best practices to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code.

  • Mentor and support junior developers through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing.

  • Collaborate closely with business analysts, product managers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions.

  • Lead frontend development using ExtJS or modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js).

  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Java (Spring Boot preferred).

  • Ensure seamless integration with SQL/NoSQL databases and third-party APIs.

  • Drive agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

  • Optimize system performance, scalability, and security across all layers.

  • Manage deployment processes using CI/CD pipelines and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Required Skills:

Frontend Development:

  • Strong hands-on experience with ExtJS or Vue.js (preferred); React.js or Angular experience also considered.

  • Deep knowledge of JavaScript, DOM manipulation, AJAX, HTML5, and CSS3.

  • Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries.

Backend Development:

  • Strong proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, JPA/Hibernate.

  • Solid experience in RESTful API development and microservices architecture.

Database:

  • Hands-on experience with RDBMS such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.

DevOps & Tools:

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

Salary & Benefits:

  • Annual Salary Range: $105,000 – $125,000

  • Additional Compensation: Eligible for Cognizant’s annual discretionary incentive program and stock awards based on performance.
