Position Summary: Call Center/Clinic Staff Assistant I (CSA I)
We are seeking a CSA I to support our high-volume clinic-based call centers. This role is crucial to the patient experience and involves direct coordination of appointments, services, and inquiries. Depending on departmental needs, positions may be onsite, hybrid, or fully remote. All new hires will undergo initial onsite training before transitioning to their assigned work arrangement.
Key Responsibilities
You will be expected to learn and demonstrate proficiency in at least two of the following front office operations within 6–12 months:

Patient Registration

Appointment Scheduling
-
Inbound Call Documentation
-
Insurance Entry and Verification
-
Referral Management
-
Cash Handling, Payment Posting, and Check-in/Check-out
Additional responsibilities include:

Gaining and maintaining up-to-date proficiency in the Epic EMR system and front office workflows.

Providing exceptional customer service, representing UT Southwestern in a professional and courteous manner.

Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless patient care across departments.

Maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and institutional policies.

Managing inventory of office supplies and keeping the waiting area organized and stocked.

Potential involvement with sensitive information, such as patient or research records.
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or GED required.

Prior customer service experience is essential.

Successful completion of CSA competencies in two (2) clinical front office functions within 6–12 months of hire.

Related degree or experience is preferred but not required.
