About the Role

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Medical Transport Specialist / Driver to join our healthcare support team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe, timely, and courteous transport of patients, medical specimens, and healthcare supplies between healthcare facilities, homes, and other designated locations.

Key Responsibilities

Safely transport patients to and from medical appointments or treatment centers.

Assist patients with entering and exiting the vehicle, ensuring comfort and safety.

Transport medical specimens, lab work, or equipment as needed.

Maintain a clean, well-functioning vehicle and ensure all required maintenance is up to date.

Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and healthcare staff.

Adhere strictly to HIPAA and confidentiality regulations.

Maintain accurate records of each trip, including mileage, passenger details, and delivery logs.

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Prior experience in patient transport, EMS, or non-emergency medical transport preferred.

CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Excellent interpersonal skills and a patient-first attitude.

Ability to lift or assist with mobility equipment (up to [insert weight]).

Knowledge of basic vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance is a plus.
