Job Description

The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) will assist paramedics and clinical staff in providing both direct and indirect patient care. You’ll respond to emergencies, support patient transportation, and contribute to clinical operations. The ideal candidate is skilled under pressure and committed to delivering culturally sensitive, patient-centered care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7 EMS response capability, including shift rotations and on-call coverage.

  • Deliver Basic Life Support (BLS) and respond to life-threatening emergencies, trauma cases, and medical transports.

  • Operate compound ambulances and maintain vehicle readiness.

  • Communicate with the receiving Emergency Department and coordinate local ambulance transfers.

  • Assess emergency situations and provide CPR, bleeding control, and AED usage.

  • Safely transport patients while ensuring comfort and care throughout transit.

  • Collect and document patient histories and vital signs.

  • Restock medical supplies and maintain equipment.

  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure effective patient care.

  • Keep accurate records of treatments, patient responses, and vehicle logs.

  • Assist in clinical units, including emergency rooms and inpatient units.

  • Participate in biannual mass-casualty drills and protocol development.

  • Support compliance with Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services and other regulatory standards.


Qualifications

Required Skills & Knowledge

  • Valid EMT license from a U.S. state or equivalent authority in your country of practice.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (provided if not already held).

  • Proven ability to remain calm and make quick decisions under pressure.

  • Experience working on military sites or as a government contractor is a plus.

Education

  • Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or equivalent qualification.

Other Requirements

  • Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.

  • Must be willing to relocate to Qatar (unaccompanied position).

  • Valid passport required and must be maintained throughout employment.

  • Able to obtain base security clearance.

Physical Demands

  • Work primarily performed in an ambulance.

  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.

  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift up to 15 lbs.
